I started the Do It Yourself Musicians (The Podcast of the bedroom revolution) back in 2018. I was intrigued by a lot Bandcamp musicians (Plini, Sithu, DMM, younameit). I got my Cubase + Focusrite setup up and running and was experimenting with my own stuff.

Of course I was surrounded by amazing musician friends. Was there a better opportunity to grow than ask them all I wanted to know? Yep, the internet is full of wonderful interviews with the greats. While it helped me to know ho Misha Mansoor started my brain dragged me down saying like "well, but it was Misha and you are no Misha. It's not gonna work for you".

Here we go with the Episodes.

Ep. 1 - Samuli "Metalhead from Finland" Hyttinen. A journey through Finnish underground and a Bildungsroman of DIY Musicianship.

Ep. 2 - Reece Spencer of Ares One (UK). Ambient guitar tones, Youtube streams you would never expect and how to make a music video in your kitchen.

Ep. 3 - Roberto Granados of The Halcyon Effect (US). Prog, djent, solos. And flamengo and high end musical education.
